Aspen Plowing was built at the intersection of hard-earned grit and high-level systems engineering.

​

Before entering the corporate world, I worked my way through college doing demanding physical labor — the kind of work where results come from toughness, discipline, and showing up no matter the conditions. After graduating from CU Boulder with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, I spent the next 35 years as a software engineer and technology executive. My career spanned some of the most mission-critical environments in the world: the space industry, the oil sector, fast-moving tech startups, and global enterprise operations.

Along the way, I earned my MBA from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and eventually retired as Vice President of Engineering for Pivot Industries. For decades, my job was to design optimized systems, manage complex logistics, and build high-availability solutions where operational failure simply wasn’t an option.

I started this business because I love Colorado, I love the mountains, and I love the snow. Transitioning my decades of experience in systems engineering and business management into Aspen Plowing just felt natural.

We don’t treat winter weather management as “driving a truck.” We treat it as an engineered logistical system.
